Wednesday

CGOA Professional Development Day
Sponsored by Lion Brand Yarn,the Summer 2013 Professional Development Day will be an intensive day of learning as we take a behind-the-scenes look at proposing and developing a book. An outstanding educational opportunity for established or aspiring professionals as well as those who have only dreamed of becoming a professional. The committee has brought together the most notable and knowledgeable experts in our field.

TKGA "On Your Way to the Masters Day"
Pre-register for TKGA's "On Your Way to the Masters Day," a day for mingling and advice for would-be Master Knitters and graduates of the Program who want to know what comes next.

Shopping Preview If you are a pre-registered student, you can browse the aisles before the show opens at no charge during the Shopping Preview on Thursday. Buy before the public has a chance to take a look!

Conference Kick-Off, Member Meeting & Gift Exchange
Thursday evening from 6 pm - 7 pm, come for a free conference kick-off event. All who bring a $20 (maximum materials cost) hand-crocheted item are invited to participate in the Annual Gift Exchange . Be sure to include a card with your name, address and phone so you can be thanked by the receiver for your gift.

Friday

Friday Fashion Parade
You won't want to miss Friday's Parade of Fashions from exhibiting companies on the show floor from 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm. See the latest and greatest styles, then visit the booths selling the yarn and patterns! Sponsored by Red Heart Yarns.

CGOA Dinner, Fashion Show and Silent Auction
Applaud CGOA member fashions as well as those by designers, and applaud graduates of the CGOA Masters Program. Winners of the Silent Auction Items (crochet) will be announced. Sponsored by Annie's, this is THE CROCHET EVENT of the conference - you won't want to miss it!

TKGA Member Meeting & Fun Night Fiber Meets Fashion: Steven Berg, owner and creative director of the StevenBe brand, will demonstrate his magical techniques of Fiber Fusion, creating current runway trends using a variety of textures and textiles. Their fiber mixology comes primarily from Be Sweet's yarn collection made by South African artisans for the export market. Steven will showcase projects using larger needles and a variety of exotic fiber combinations that create luxurious and truly unique and fashion forward accessories. After this session, you will be able to recreate Steven's magic at home using his fabulous tips and tricks! Knit happy, glitter it up!!

Saturday

Designers Meet & Greet
All crochet and knit designers are invited to meet the editorial staffs of several publications on Saturday on the Show floor. Bring questions, ideas and design samples. Enjoy some one-on-one time and get on-the-spot feedback.

TKGA Dinner, Fashion Show and Silent Auction
Fashions, food and a flourish of awards and door prizes make Saturday evening the highlight of the Summer Show. Applaud TKGA member fashions as well as those by designers and find out who had the winning bids for the Silent Auction Items (knit). The Fashion Show, sponsored by Annie's, will be a must-see!

CGOA Fun Night
Let's have a party! End your CGOA conference experience on a high note by attending CGOA Fun Night. Spend the last night in the company of crochet friends new and old. Take a look at the fun and excitement we have in store for you. More details at http://www.crochet.org/?SummerFunNight

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Silent Auction
Bid on knit and crochet items in the Silent Auction to benefit the Helping Hands Foundation's Needle Arts Mentoring Program(SM), which gets stitching supplies in the hands of children who want to learn to knit or crochet. Bids begin during Show hours and close at the Banquets on Friday and Saturday. Take home your favorite selections while supporting a great cause!

Knit & Crochet Lounge
The Knit & Crochet Lounge, sponsored by Red Heart Yarns, will be available so you and your friends have a place to stitch and relax.

Goody Bags
The first 500 pre-registered Knit & Crochet Show-goers who register for at least one class will receive stuffed goody bags (thanks to sponsor Lion Brand Yarn). Register early so you don't miss out!

Shopping Bags
Grab a shopping bag sponsored by Skacel on the Show floor to fill up as you shop (while supplies last).

Door Prizes
Drop your entry in the designated area inside the show floor - and listen for your name! Prizes include great items from the Show's exhibitors and industry manufacturers! Collect your prize at the donating booth.

Buddy Program
First time attendees (crocheters OR knitters) are paired with seasoned conference goers in an effort to make the "newbies" feel welcomed and involved, as well as give the "buddies" a chance to share all of the wisdom and knowledge they have gathered. During conference, there are some great events planned for all the newbies and buddies to meet and mingle.
