Author of The Fine Art of Crochet (2013), Gwen approaches her class samples with an eye toward artfulness and assists her students to do the same. Patience and sense of humor in the classroom allows her students to learn technical skills at their own pace as she encourages them to add personal creativity to the finished product. A Certified CYC crochet instructor, Gwen has taught widely for over 30 years in venues as diverse as park districts, hospitals and trade and consumer shows.

Beginning early in childhood, Gwen has dabbled in all of the various needle arts with knitting finally taking center stage during her college years. Beth Brown-Reinsel has been teaching knitting workshops nationally, as well as internationally, for over 20 years. Her book Knitting Ganseys has been deemed a classic. She completed her first DVD Knitting Ganseys with Beth Brown-Reinsel in 2010 and is working on a new DVD on color knitting. THE SOLUTIONS BOOK FOR CROCHETERS. She has been crocheting professionally since 1987. Founding member of the Crochet Guild of America and taught classes at the First CGOA Annual Conference in Chicago, IL at DePauw University. In 2002, Joan was the Chairperson of the Tropical Crochet Guild of the Palm Beaches and spearheaded the Chapter's hosting of the national CGOA Chain Link Conference in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Charles Gandy, a TKGA Master Knitter, learned to knit at the age of four and designed his first sweater three years later. A two-time winner in Knitter's Magazine "Think Outside the Sox" contest, three of his designs are featured in the book of the same name: "Dread Sox", "Snake in the Grass" and "Pedicure Polka Socks". His own book, The Embellished Sock: Knitted Art for the Foot" features eighteen creative socks and numerous techniques. His work is often featured in numerous magazines including Interweave, Knit.Wear and Cast On. He is a popular lecturer and instructor at conferences and workshops nationwide.

Patty (pattylyons.com) decided to leave her previous life as a Broadway stage manager eight years ago to follow her passion and work in the knitting world. After managing a local yarn store, in 2008 she joined Lion Brand as the Studio Director to help create the Lion Brand Yarn Studio in New York City. A certified knitting instructor, Patty focuses on helping her students see the 'why to' not just the 'how to'. She specializes in sweater design and sharing her love of the much-maligned subjects of gauge and blocking.

Patty currently teaches more than 30 of the Studio's 150 workshops and also enjoys teaching at guilds around the country and shows such as Vogue Knitting LIVE, Knit and Crochet Show (the official show of TKGA and CGOA), and Knit1 Crochet2. She runs the Studio's education department, overseeing eight staff teachers and a full lineup of master class teachers.

Nancie was a Registered Nurse when she opened her yarn store Nancie Knits in Sacramento, CA in the '80's. This began her long career of teaching and writing books. To date she has written 9 books on knitting and crochet and 2 on quilting. She has just finished her 9th DVD. She has taught knitting in the U.S. and Canada for over 30 years. She has written for Martha Stewart Living and most of the major knitting magazine and many of the notable yarn companies. Nancie now volunteers her time teaching in a woman's jail every week as well as teaching weekly in her home town.

"She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands". Prov. 31:13. Joyce learned how to knit and crochet at the age of nine. She is a CYCA Certified Instructor in both knit and crochet. Joyce designs for numerous yarn companies and publications. Her most current designs can be found in "Donna Kooler's Crocheted Afghans", "100 Hats to Knit and Crochet", "100 Crochet Projects", "Great Garter Stitch, and "Master in Crochet", published by Jean Leinhauser and Rita Weiss. She has taught since 1999 for CGOA, TKGA, TNNA, Craft Cruises, Stitches Expos, local knitting/crochet guilds, and similar venues. Joyce loves to adapt knitting techniques into crochet. Her motto, "Why should knitters have all the fun? If I can knit it, I will figure out a way to crochet it!" Joyce says, "God has blessed me with the gifts of knitting and crochet, gifts I enjoy sharing with others."
